Mission Statement of Sunshine Coast Junior Rugby
“As one co-ordinated body, to create and develop junior rugby opportunities within the Sunshine Coast by promoting safety, enjoyment and mutual respect for all involved”.
Our mission of providing creative and exciting pathways through which young people can grow in confidence and self esteem, develop leadership qualities, sportsmanship skills, a keen sense of achievement and improve generally as socially responsible and compassionate young adults is what drives junior rugby union.
Junior Rugby Union on the Sunshine Coast started in 1987 from humble beginnings involving approx 30 players, the sub union has grown to 11 clubs and over 1500 junior players.
117 teams compete in Saturday competition aged from U6’s thru to Junior Colts (U18’s).

Rugby Union on the Sunshine Coast is poised for significant growth and expansion in popularity from participants, spectators and supporter alike.
