SEAHORSE - LEARN TO SWIM LEVEL 1Essentially a level to improve independence, the Seahorse Program is an import step towards developing early stage freestyle. SEALS - LEARN TO SWIM LEVEL 2The Seals Program provides a natural progression towards freestyle swimming with a great deal of emphasis placed on learning correct breathing. SWORDFISH - LEARN TO SWIM LEVEL 3The Swordfish Program focuses on the development of technically proficient freestyle and backstroke. Additional stroke drills are introduced to enhance the feel for the water. Skills taught include backstroke timing and recovery, sculling, rotational drills. New skills acquired at this level include butterfly kick and butterfly stroke drills.Class Size: 4 Average Duration: 30 minutes |

DOLPHIN LEARN TO SWIM LEVEL 4The Dolphin Program focuses on the connsolidation of freestyle, backstroke and butterfly with a continued emphasis on streamlining and stroke efficiency. New skills acquired at this level include breast stroke kick and breat stroke drills. Increasing workloads and volume are evident in this program.Class Size: 5 Average Duration: 30 minutes |

1. KAC Swim School offers 4 x 10 week ‘terms’ per year coinciding with Education Qld school terms
2. Vacation programs called ‘intensives’ are also offered during the school vacation period.
3. Interested families should make a booking by providing the Swim School with the relevant details including the preferred days and times.
4. An assessment class will be arranged subsequent to the booking fee being paid and thereafter an appropriate class day and time within the term.
RE-ENROLMENTS
1. Re-enrolments may be secured by paying the deposit of $28.00 during re-enrolment week.2. Re-enrolments for the next term commence in week 8.
3. The balance of the fee for the next term is required before the first lesson of the new term.
4. If the balance of the term fees is not paid by the due date an enrolment may be cancelled and the position in the class declared vacant.
POLICIES
Entry cards:
A photo id swipe card will be issued once the swim school has received full payment.The card needs to be swiped on arrival at reception counter and again at the Swim School each time you enter the centre for a lesson.
A $6.00 fee will be charged for the replacement of a lost card.
Makeup lessons:
A minimum of 2 hours notice if a lesson can't be attended to approve a make up lesson.If you present us with a doctor’s certificate we will happily makeup your lesson.
Please ensure that you adhere to the policy to avoid disappointment.
Cancellations:
In those instances where the Swim School has not been notified of a cancellation the lesson fee will not be refunded or credited and there will be no entitlement to a make up lesson.- Fees are as follows: 1: Casual - $18 - pay as you go; or 2: Term Payment: $140 per 10 week term
- Bookings cannot be made without payment.
- All program fees are due on or before the first lesson of each term.
- Payments can be made by: cash, cheque, Visa, MasterCard or EFTPOS.
- KAC does not provide a cash out facility.
- Swimming costumes towel, and a swim cap is compulsory for all learners to maximise enjoyment, comfort and learning.
- The 10 week term may include lessons on public holidays.
- Please check availablity to attend classes as scheduled for the relevant school term before enrolling.
- Swim caps and goggles can be purchased at either the Swim School or Reception.
- Families are encouraged to spend extra practice time in the water.
- It is advisable to do so after the lesson so that the focus is on learning the skills in the lesson.
- To ensure a smooth start to each lesson please arrive with ample preparation time.
- Lateness will cause disruption to the lesson for other families involved.
- Teachers should be notified of any medical conditions that may affect students during the lesson.
- It is recommended that asthmatic children take their medication 1/2 hour before the lesson.
- All equipment is supplied during the lesson.
